So, like I was saying...

So, I'm a one subject guy right now. I promise that as time goes along, I'll branch out and write about some other subject besides becoming a father, but for right now, it's on the top of my mind.

Fatherhood.

It's like Christmas every day, except you don't sleep as much, and you have to change diapers (a lot). At the time this was written, Connor is about one month old. He is just now becoming easier to handle. He is sleeping for five hour stretches at night, and, what is really cool, he is starting to be happy when he is awake. Until just recently when he was awake it entailed crying or eating or pooping, and not much else. Now he is starting to smile more and more when he is up. Most tranquil.

There is something else I've noticed. I'll let you in on a little secret of mine. You see...I can see into the future. Not just one future, not even just a few, but many. Every time I look at my son I see him doing all sorts of different things. One year from now, thirty years from now, High school, College. Everything. The funny thing is, I had expected this. Expected to be able to imagine him as he would be, but I had underestimated the clarity with which I can see. Now I know many of you have kids of your own, so I hope you've seen the way I have, and for the rest of you, well hopefully someday you'll feel it. It's really great.

Our family is growing.

Our lives are changing.

Man am I lucky!
